Join SBPA and other local organizations at this Leadership for Change Conference. SBPA will conduct workshops to introduce our mission and all the ways in which young advocates can contribute to the vision of People-Focused Politics.

“The goal of this conference is for high school, college and any student to develop and nurture the values and political theory to transform our society in order to create a more just and loving word.. The first half of the conference will be a talk and small group conversations about values and political theory that aims to transform society. This will by led by:
– Will Armaline, founding Director of the Human Rights Program at San Jose State University
– Cynthia Kaufman, Director of the VIDA Program at De Anza College
– Richard Hobbs, Executive Director of Human Agenda
The second part of the conference participants will be able to attend 3 workshops by local organization to learn about different topics impacting people and learn how to take action.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
We will also have spoken Word by Yosimar Reyes
During lunch participants will be able to make their own social justice poster with the help of Taller Girasol.
